Whatever our color, background or zip code, most of us believe that voters pick our leaders — our leaders do not get to pick their voters. When it comes to
our elections, we want a transparent process we can trust, where Americans have equal freedom to vote, whether we live in a small town or big city, the
south or the north.

But today, a handful of politicians put up barriers to silence our voices based on what we look like or where we live. Together, we can ensure Americans can safely and freely cast our ballots so that every voice is heard and our elections reflect the will of the people.

Have you registered to vote? It is not too late to register to vote for the November 8th elections.

Today is National Voter Registration Day! Register to vote at https://voterstatus.sos.ca.gov/ or double-check that your information is up to date. Your vote matters!

With fall right around the corner, it is time to reflect on our hot labor summer! 🔥With the passing of #AB257, the march and current vigil of United Farm Workers at the capital, and unions forming across the country, the time is now to improve wages and working conditions for all workers!

Earlier this month Silicon Valley Rising celebrated Mountain View City Council's passing of a Wage Theft Ordinance and Responsible Construction Ordinance to make sure that workers are receiving ALL the money they earn!

Mujeres Unidas y Activas (MUA) are working to create labor protections at the state level for domestic workers whose work is essential for our communities to function and who deserve better wages and working conditions.

We condemn the anti-blackness in the wake of the murder of Dr. Lili Xu last month. Following the tragic killing of Dr. Lili Xu there have been a number of Black people killed without the same level of outrage. Unfortunately, there is a long-standing and very successful - disinformation campaign by the right-wing designed to divide Black and Asian communities.

We stand in solidarity with both Black and Asian communities in the Bay who are hurting from violence and we are committed to building bridges and strengthening our solidarity!
