近年灣區樓價和租金價格高企,帕西域(Pacifica)與聖馬刁縣各地一樣,屋租亦在急劇上漲中,造成住屋危機。根據聖馬刁縣房屋部門資料顯示,以兩房單位計算,聖馬刁縣的公平市場租金價格由2016年6月的$2,289急升至2017年6月的$3,018,升幅高達24%。有見及此,帕西域提出C提案,以保障合資格單位租客的權利,提案將在11月公投。

In recent years, property prices in the Bay Area have been very high. As in all parts of Pacifica and San Mateo County, rents have also risen sharply, causing people in the area to suffer a real housing crisis. According to data from the housing department of San Mateo County, the rental prices in San Mateo County rose from $2,289 in June 2016 to $3,018 in June 2017, which is an increase of 24%. In view of this, advocates in Pacifica have proposed a ballot measure, Measure C, to protect the rights of eligible tenants, and the vote will be held in November.
